Retail Workers Share the Small Ways They Get Back at Rude Customers

This grocery store employee had such a serendipitous moment with a rude customer; it doesn’t even seem real. A guest had paid with her EBT card and was still bagging her groceries at the counter. Then, another woman walked up to the register and shouted, “I’ll be paying with my own money because I have a JOB.” Okay, good for you?

This rude customer obviously said that as a jab toward the woman who used her government assistance. That’s why what happened next is so, so amazing. The grocery store cashier swiped her card and gleefully told her, “Your card has been declined.” Usually, a situation like this requires some tact, but this employee said it loud and proud for everyone to hear.
