#15: Can You Hear Me Now?
It’s one thing if a customer is generally rude. It’s a whole other issue, however, when a customer throws personal insults at an employee. This person shared a customer horror story that has stuck with her all these years. She spoke to a customer in her regular “customer service” voice, and the woman decided to give her an unsolicited opinion.

The woman told her that she had an “awful” voice and shouldn’t be allowed to speak in public. Rude! This person took that comment to heart. She proceeded to talk louder and more nasally than she had been, just to spite this rude woman. That may seem like an immature reaction, but it probably felt pretty good at the moment.
