#2: Reverse Psychology
This person had a unique way of getting back at rude customers when they worked as a Starbucks barista. They would add small touches to rude customers’ drinks to improve them. This ex-barista wasn’t being sarcastic– they really did put a little extra something like a blend of cold brew or extra syrup to make their drink extra delicious.
This might seem counter-intuitive, but they were playing a long con. They wanted to make the rude customer’s drink so delicious that they would never have such a fantastic drink again, and they would never know what to ask for. It wouldn’t taste the same the next time! Guaranteeing a life-long dissatisfaction instead of immediate vengeance is genius, and we’re scared of this person.
