Retail Workers Share the Small Ways They Get Back at Rude Customers

Employees will go the extra mile for you if you’re a pleasant customer. On the flip side of that coin, they can short-change you if they deem it necessary. Makeup counters are usually pretty generous regarding free samples, but your experience is ultimately up to the person working the counter.  

One former makeup counter employee revealed that she would fill foundation samples up less than halfway and flip them upside down to make them look full. Of course, rude customers would leave none the wiser and then wonder later why they ran low on makeup so quickly. We love when minor inconveniences are actually power moves.
