Gannet
Seabirds are birds that have evolved to live in a marine setting. While seabirds have a wide range of lifestyles, behaviors, and physiology, they often show spectacular convergent evolution as a result of comparable environmental issues and food niches. The seagull is probably the most popular among all the seabirds ever known to man.
The next bird on our list is a seabird called a gannet. Just like puffins, they can also dive underwater for food. They can dive from a height of 30 m achieving speeds of 100 km/h as they strike the water, enabling them to catch fish at a much greater depth than most airborne birds. That’s quite surprising for a cutie, curious-looking bird right here.
