Superb Fruit Dove
Doves are a stocky seed- or fruit-eating bird with a small head, short legs, and a cooing voice. Doves are generally smaller and more delicate than pigeons, but many kinds have been given both names. Doves are usually the symbol of marriages. In some cultures, after the wedding, two caged doves are freed from their cages by the couple as a tradition.
This next dove on our list is the Superb Fruit Dove. The superb fruit dove, also known as the purple-crowned fruit dove, is a medium-sized, colorful fruit-dove in the family Columbidae. Males are superbly colored with a fiery orange nape, green ears, and a purple crown, while females are mostly green, with a white abdomen, blue wing tips, light blue breast, and a small, dark blue spot on the back of the head.
