Broad-Winged Hawk
Birds of prey are the scariest birds in the air. Their hunting abilities are more than enough to bring shivers down their preys’ spines. One of the most known kind of birds of prey is the hawk. A hawk is a large bird with a short, hooked beak, sharp claws, and very good eyesight, which makes them even better hunters.
The next subject of Leila’s photography is the broad-winged hawk, a medium-sized hawk of the genus Buteo. They are small, compact raptors with chunky bodies and large heads. In flight, their broad wings come to a distinct point. It is 13-19 inches in length with a wingspan of around 3 feet. This pic alone proves that they truly are dashing!
