Baudin’s Black Cockatoo
The cockatoo belongs to the Psittaciformes order of birds. From the Philippines and the eastern Indonesian islands of Wallacea through New Guinea, the Solomon Islands, and Australia, this family has a predominantly Australasian distribution. The prominent crests and curved bills of cockatoos make them easily identifiable. Their plumage, of course, is their most distinguishing trait.
The next bird on this list is the Baudin’s Black cockatoo, which is also known as Baudin’s cockatoo or the long-billed black cockatoo. It has a short crest on the top of its head, and the plumage is mostly greyish black. This beauty is also mostly mistaken with the Carnaby’s Black Cockatoo.
