Common Parakeet
A parakeet is any of several tiny to medium-sized parrot species from various genera with long tail feathers. Paroquet and paraquet are two older spellings that are still used from time to time. The word parakeet, in American English, commonly refers to the budgerigar, which is one of the many species of parakeet.
The next subject of this photography exhibit is the Australian Budgerigar. This budgie is a very handsome male. You can tell that it is a male based alone on the color of the skin around his nostrils, which is blue. This is usually deemed as the most common parakeet, but also the most popular species of parakeet that is kept as a pet.
