Gouldian Finch
True finches belong to the Fringillidae family of passerine birds and are small to medium-sized. Finches have sturdy conical bills that are specialized for eating seeds and nuts, and their plumage is often brightly colored. They can be found in a wide variety of settings and do not move. Except for Australia and the polar areas, the finches have an almost worldwide distribution.
