Squatter Pigeon
A pigeon, like the dove, is a member of the Columbidae family. They are frequently referred to as doves in larger sizes. Pigeons are usually raised for their meat. Squab, which are the younger pigeons, is the main and good source of this meat. Pigeons have made significant contributions to humanity, particularly as messengers during times of war and conflict.
This next avian beauty is endemic to Australia, the squatter pigeon. The squatter pigeon is distinguished by its black and white facial characteristics, as well as a white stripe running up on each side. It can be found in arid and semi-arid environments, such as grasslands and sclerophyll woods. This species is usually observed on the ground, typically on the side of a dirt road.
