Art Stolen from a Fortress
To me, this story proves that castles are not as safe and secure as they may have been back in their heyday. If they were, then it should have been much more difficult for thieves posing as tourists to steal one of da Vinci’s masterpieces from a castle in Scotland.

Interestingly, the weapon the thieves used was equally medieval. Rather than using guns, as many contemporary robbers do, they used a simple axe instead. Do you think a story of someone raiding a castle using an axe doesn’t sound like something that would happen in 2003?
