A Modern Way to Steal
Unfortunately, we all need to be vigilant about malware nowadays, and this story is a perfect illustration of why that is the case. It tells of Russian cyber thefts that created malicious software that targeted the most common internet browsers like Chrome, Internet Explorer, and Firefox.
As the story says, it is impossible to know how much money the perpetrators got away with, but what the story does not share is that at least a few of the involved criminals were eventually caught and sentenced in 2016. It seems that the thrill of pulling off heists is a timeless concept for many people!
