No Age Restriction
Without realizing it, most of us have a relatively specific image of what we expect a typical bank robber to look like. I, for one, imagine most are young adults. However, I was surprised to learn that the mastermind behind the Hatton Garden Heist was 76 when he was arrested for the crime.

This just goes to show that bank heists do not have an age restriction. It also suggests that high-scale bank robbery should justify a longer prison sentence than what most receive. For example, the 76-year-old in this story had already pulled off a massive heist earlier in his life. If longer sentences are too vindictive of an answer, we should try to find some other effective way of discouraging repeat offenders.
