An Inside Job
I can think of no one more qualified to conduct a bank robbery than someone who already works as a security guard for a bank. Evidently, the mastermind behind the Dunbar Armored Robber in Los Angeles, Allen Pace III, had a similar notion. And he convinced no one other than his best childhood friends to pull this off!

As an LA Times article by Justin Ray shares, Pace’s job gave him a full working knowledge of the floor plans of the cash drop vault where he worked. His plan did face a bit of a hiccup when he was fired for tampering with company vehicles just a day before the heist was set to take place. That was likely not the first indication that Pace was up to no good, but it did not stop him and his friends from getting away with the equivalent of over $30 million.
