#39: First Unanimously Voted U.S. President
George Washington is remembered as the first President of the United States. However, there’s another first that marked Washington’s tenure as President. He was the first and only U.S. President to be elected to the position with a unanimous vote. That means 100% of the people who voted voted for Washington.

What can we say? It was an unprecedented time. Obviously, this kind of unanimous agreement has never happened again. Washington remains the one and only president ever to receive an overwhelming victory, with 100% of the votes going to him. That’s probably a good thing. It would be kind of suspicious if a future president got elected with 100% of the vote these days…
