Here’s another fun fact about him: Knitting a new one every Christmas, Mr. Rogers’s mom exclusively knit his famous sweaters until she passed away in 1981. His sweaters were unique and homey, just like him! And, no need to fear; the cardigans have been preserved in the Smithsonian’s National Museum of American History, along with the memory of Mr. Rogers and his mother.
