#9: Hug It Out
We all know that hugs are important. When we’re feeling down, we know that a good hug from a beloved person – your parents, your partner or even a friend – might help us feel better. But hugs are more powerful than you may think. According to research, hugging releases an oxytocin hormone that reduces our stress levels.
Hugs are not only good for our mental health, but our physical health as well. It was scientifically shown that hugs could improve your immune system. Now, we’re not saying hugs are a remedy that can replace other types of medication and treatments – but it wouldn’t hurt to increase your daily hugs intake!
