#24: Rat Trap
Okay, hear us out. We’re not saying you should go ahead and adopt a pet rat, but maybe, just maybe, rats aren’t as gross as most people imagine them to be? When we see a rat on the street, our immediate response is to squeal with fear or disgust. But according to scientists who experiment on rats and work closely with them, they aren’t all that bad.
For example, scientists have discovered that rats love playing hide and seek, so much so that they squeal, chirp and jump with joy when playing! How cute is that? They also love being tickled, apparently. This also suggests that they are social animals because this playfulness is linked with social joy.
