It’s a Strike!
It’s interesting how little we think of what common, everyday objects are made of. For instance, a bowling ball. We’ve never really taken the time to think about how they are made, or what they are even made of. The answer to that is either resin, plastic, or urethane, though other materials may be added to form a composite.

That’s only one part of the story. If you cut open a bowling ball, you get to see the core, which is the giant green thing in this picture. It is rather interesting because the core isn’t radially symmetrical. This part is extremely heavy and has a major impact on how the ball moves.
