Scoring a sale on your first day on the job isn’t just great news for your wallet; it also shows management that you have the potential to truly succeed in your new role. This person was skilled enough to have that happen, but it quickly went sour when their supervisor stepped in – literally.
As soon as the potential for a sale was looking great for this person, their supervisor took over and claimed the commission that came with it. We definitely can’t blame this person for walking out on the spot because we would’ve done exactly the same. At least their supervisor showed their true colors early and they were able to dodge this bullet.
