Multi-Level Scamming
A commission-based sales job is already hard enough, but any company that requires you to pay a membership fee or purchase your own product to sell is definitely not as lucrative an opportunity as some make it seem. This poor 17-year-old was desperate for a job and accidentally got recruited by a company doing just that.
After showing up on their first day and being asked if they had their checkbook, warning sirens began going off, and for good reason. Once they realized it was an MLM, they walked out without another word – hopefully, to find a real job that paid them for working and not the other way around.
