#43: Jell-O is
Oftentimes, we’re quite surprised to find out which technologies were invented before and after each other. It’s almost like our contemporary minds decided which things were more “modern” and which things were more “olden-day,” even though sometimes the distinctions have more to do with aesthetics than anything else.
Yet, in this case, I must see that it seems to me entirely logical that Jell-O is an older technology than the zipper. Jell-O is just liquid solidified using a chemical reaction where as the zipper is an engineering marvel that many of its most consistent users can’t get their heads around.
