These Weird But True Facts Made Us Realize There is So Much We Don’t Know About the World

There’s this really weird phenomenon that I’ve noticed among quite a lot of my friends and acquaintances and random internet people (and myself) of thinking that we are still at the start of the new millennium and, therefore, counting back to any date means counting back from the year 2000.

For some reason, we seem to be incapable of grasping that quite a while has passed since Y2K. Thus, we create a strange divide between events in the more distant past (last century) and events we deem to be recent (anything after 2000). But it’s probably about time we realized it’s been over 20 years since 9/11.
