#30: Practically Related
There are all sorts of weird relations in the animal kingdom that don’t always seem the most obvious to the untrained eye. For instance, did you know that the horse is closely related to the rhinoceros? Or that whales and cows happen to be dear cousins (even if they’ve lost contact)?
However, this particular familiar link seems a little bit more logical to me, and there’s kind of a strange reason – dinosaurs. I was always told that crocodiles are basically a surviving dinosaur. I was also told that birds are direct descendants of the large reptiles. So if they’re dinosaurs and they’re dinosaurs…yeah.
