#23: On That Auspicious Day
They say that good things come in threes, but in this case, it’s the deaths of three good things or, rather, good people. I can’t imagine what the newspapers must have been like on November 23rd of that year. I hope they didn’t get confused and end up mixing up their stories.

Though it would’ve been a little bit funny if headlines accidentally read that a certain beloved children’s author was the victim of a political assassination, while the President of the United States died of laryngeal cancer, and a prolific political philosopher perished of kidney failure a week before his 65th birthday.
