#37: Scarce Knowledge
I was the kind of kid who played with dinosaur toys and could say the word ‘paleontologist’ before I could say the word ‘hungry.’ I would walk around the yard pretending I was digging up fossils and making groundbreaking new discoveries about who and what was roaming around here in prehistoric times.
I didn’t get around to filling up a pick-up truck, but I certainly managed to fill up a few old mason jars with all sorts of things that I thought looked like they could be fossils. It’s a shame that actual paleontologists don’t seem to have the same professional standards as nine-year-old me.
