Shaky Shack
”When I was a criminal defense investigator, I was tasked with a murder case involving two brothers. The accused, who lived a relatively normal life, and his brother who suffered from schizophrenia and resided in a makeshift potato shack in a remote desert. I often had to make long drives to speak with him about the case. Despite his condition, over time, we developed a bond, and I found myself enjoying our conversations.”
”But, things took a dark turn when his girlfriend entered the picture. During one of my visits to his shack, my eye caught the girlfriend lurking in the shadows, staring at me menacingly. He than proceeded to invite me inside his shack, but I sensed something was off so I declined. The relieved look on his face made it clear that the girlfriend was definitely hiding behind the door with a knife or a machete, just waiting for me. I left it quickly after that, and It turned out to be a good decision as I later learned that she had shot him in his sleep and hid his body in an old refrigerator.”
