Rex Krebs
It’s a pretty eerie feeling to look back on the time when I used to interact with a serial killer on a regular basis. Rex Krebs, who would go on to be convicted of two murders and suspected of several others, worked at a hardware store that my roommate and I frequented while her parents were fixing up our apartment. I’ll never forget the awesome pit bull that he used to bring to work, and I often found myself petting the dog while waiting for my roommate’s parents to finish their shopping.”
”Looking back, it’s hard to believe that I even accepted a ride home from him once while waiting at Denny’s for my ride. Maybe I got lucky because I’m a redhead, and he had a thing for blondes? But it’s chilling to think that I was in the car with a killer, and I had no idea. I later learned about his troubled personal life, which included a history of domestic violence and sexual assault. It’s a reminder that sometimes, even the friendliest of people can be hiding a dark secret.”
