Ed Gein
”Before Ed Gein was famous for his perverse crimes, he was actually just a weird guy in a small Wisconsin town. My relatives in Plainfield used to frequent a bar that Gein was known to visit, and they remember hearing his ramblings about the things he was doing during the years he was active. But because he was seen as an oddball, no one really took him seriously.”
”It wasn’t until he was caught that people realized the extent of his crimes, which included exhuming corpses from graveyards and using their body parts to make furniture and clothing. My family later found out that Gein had a troubled personal life, including a domineering mother to who he was deeply attached and the death of his older brother, which really affected him.”
