Amanda Knox
”I used to be good friends and play soccer with Amanda Knox’s sister. I’m pretty sure Amanda was at one of our games but idk. I don’t really believe she actually did it, though, so in my opinion, she’s not really a criminal. Her sister had a bit of a temper, so it would be easier for me to believe she was an actual killer rather than Amanda.”
Amanda Knox is a name that became synonymous with a sensational and controversial murder case that gripped the world. In 2007, Knox was studying abroad in Italy when her roommate, Meredith Kercher, was brutally murdered in their apartment. Knox and her then-boyfriend, Raffaele Sollecito, were charged with the crime and were ultimately convicted and sentenced to prison. The case against Knox was riddled with inconsistencies and questionable evidence, and she maintained her innocence throughout the entire ordeal. After spending four years in an Italian prison, Knox was acquitted of the crime on appeal and eventually returned to the United States.
