Tinder Psycho
”I live in a popular college town where Tinder is a big part of the dating scene. As a newcomer to the area with no friends, I decided to try the app. One day, I stumbled upon a profile that caught my eye, and after swiping right, we matched. I had included my Snapchat username in my bio, so I received a notification that he had added me on Snapchat as well. Although I don’t remember if we had any meaningful conversations on the app, I do recall that he frequently posted on his story.”
”A few months later he started posting strange things, like proclaiming that he was a superhero who had been sent to save the world. He also developed an unusual fixation on death, drawing superhero masks and capes on himself while on drugs. A week later, I saw on the news a fraternity brother from our town had allegedly murdered two people in his garage while under the influence of bath salts and had even eaten their faces. I recognized him as the guy I had matched with on Tinder. I had watched his mental health deteriorate on Snapchat over time”
