Green River Killer
”My stepmom used to carpool with the green river killer. This was about 30 years ago. They worked together, and both lived in Federal Way (Washington state). I remember when they caught him, she was kind of dumbfounded. She said he didn’t seem like the type of guy who would things like that, that she couldn’t even imagine him being strong enough to kill someone. Just goes to show you how craziness doesn’t have a face.”
For over 20 years, he stalked the streets of Seattle, Washington, killing at least 49 women and girls. What’s surprising is that the killer, whose real name is Gary Ridgway, was a seemingly unremarkable man who went unnoticed by his friends, family, and coworkers. He was married three times, held down a steady job as a truck painter, and was even known for his charity work. But underneath the surface, Ridgway was a twisted and depraved individual who was driven by an insatiable lust for violence and control.
