Mohamed Atta
”In the summer of 2001, I was 13, turning 14, and rode my bike around every day in my suburban Florida town. One day a middle eastern man almost hit me with his car when I was on the bike. I was fine, but it was pretty startling, so I remembered his face. A couple of months later, he flew a plane into the North tower of the World Trade Center. It was Mohamed Atta.”
Mohamed Atta is a name that became infamous overnight following the tragic events of September 11th, 2001. Atta was one of the ringleaders behind the devastating terrorist attacks that took the lives of thousands of innocent people. But what’s surprising is that before the attacks, Atta was a seemingly normal guy. He was well-educated and had even studied urban planning in Hamburg, Germany. Atta was a regular at a strip club in Florida, where he would often drink heavily and tip the dancers generously.
