#5: Final Folly
There have been a lot of debates lately about how valuable a degree is; If you can get a job based on your skills, do you need a degree at all? Still, in most situations, a degree from somewhere—and trade schools are perfectly respectable options—is going to help you in the job market.
You just need to make sure that you are not paying so much for this degree that you go into a huge amount of debt and have to pay it off for years. So get a scholarship if you can. Choose a sensible school for your financial situation. For goodness’ sake, get a degree that you’re actually going to be able to make money with. And most of all, don’t misunderstand when your final is so you fail a class, lose your scholarship, and have to work your way through school.
