#10: Think What That Could’ve Done in an IRA
Here’s what you should know about me: I am incredibly dull. I enjoy working on my budget and reading articles about tax-advantaged retirement savings accounts. Just this morning I was listening to a podcast about how to plan ahead when you’ve got a variable income stream. When I get unexpected money, I get excited about planning which savings account I’m going to put it in.
So you can see that I might be a little bit biased with what I’m about to say next, but for me, what was really facepalm-worthy in this story is that the person came into an inheritance and decided to spend it on a toy that they didn’t even bother properly insuring. Everything about this just hurts my heart.
