#20: One Ring to Rule Them All
More about me: I lose jewelry. In fact, I lost the pendant off my favorite necklace this very day. The ring I currently wear never comes off my finger, and that’s why I haven’t managed to lose it yet; I’ve lost every previous ring I have ever owned. So personally, I have no interest in an expensive ring because I know I’ll lose it, and there’s $10,000 down the toilet—possibly literally.

So my first thought on reading this is everyone in this story is freaking insane for thinking that $30,000 is a reasonable amount to spend on an engagement ring. My second thought is that maybe the engagement ring should come from Walmart, and then if the wedding actually goes through, you could swap it out for the expensive ring. Somehow I doubt people are going to go for that idea.
