#6: It’s a Miracle
People in wheelchairs have a lot to deal with, such as attempting to navigate through a world that often doesn’t have the infrastructure in place to actually let them do so. Sure, some places try to do the right thing and give wheelchair users concessions, such as getting to the front of the line, but I’m willing to bet that doesn’t cancel out all the inconveniences.
So the last thing they need is people attempting to game the system. I’m pretty sure airplanes aren’t particularly healthy (or religious) spaces, so the chances of someone miraculously healing to the point that they no longer need a wheelchair are not high. So clearly, these people are straight-up lying to get special treatment, but only when it suits them.
