#15: On a Wing and a Prayer
If there’s one place you hope people aren’t cutting corners on either money or time spent on maintenance, it’s on an airplane. After all, if you crash a car, there’s a good chance you’ll survive. If your airplane falls from the sky, it’s a little more iffy.
So I don’t know about you, but I’m a little alarmed to read this claim that airplanes often fly broken. I’m hoping that this just means that airplane mechanics are all MacGyvers who are great at making really solid, reliable repairs, rather than that every time I fly, I take my life in my hands.
