#27: Ready for the Worst
90% of the time, what we see flight attendants do is pretty basic: welcome people onto the plane, show them to their seats, do the safety demonstration, ask people to put their tray tables up and their seats in the upright position, serve drinks and tiny bags of peanuts.

So it’s easy to fall into the trap of thinking that they’re just glorified waiters and ushers. What we forget is that they have tons of training about what to do in an emergency, and if the worst should happen while we’re on the plane, they may be the only thing standing between us and death. So if you’re ever in an emergency, just get out of the way and let them do their job.
