#3: Pilot Problems
When you’re on an airplane, you are putting your life into the pilot’s hands. Flying a plane is a complex task that requires specialized training, lots of practice, and keen focus and problem-solving skills, and we all just have to trust that the fine folks at the front of the plane are up to the task of keeping us alive.
So here’s a genuinely terrifying story. No matter how much training and experience you have as a pilot, you’re definitely not going to be able to do your job well if your dementia means you can’t remember where you’re going. Sometimes, it’s time to put aside your ego and say goodbye. Let’s all hope our pilots have full command of their faculties.
