#25: The Problem with Cameras
Sometimes I think about getting a camera to put by my front door. It’s not for security or because I want to keep an eye on who might be wandering around my place; it’s because every time I leave my house, three blocks later, I have convinced myself that I left my garage door open. If I had a camera pointed at the garage door, I could check from my phone and not worry.

But now I’m not sure I want to because it seems like having a security camera like that is just opening yourself up for situations like this one, where your camera proves that something unexplained happened. Who needs that kind of creepiness? I’m probably happier living in blissful ignorance and not having video proof.
