#14: The Help Never Came
This phrase is easy to say but can feel dismissive to those who’ve seen the dark side of hope when help never arrived. The reality is that not every story has a fairytale ending; not every call for help echoes back with a rescue party. Acknowledging this isn’t pessimism; it’s a recognition of life’s complex tapestry, where threads of joy and sorrow are interwoven tightly.

It’s important to hold onto hope, but it’s equally important to understand that hope alone isn’t a lifesaver. Sometimes, it’s the acknowledgment of pain and the work to navigate through it, rather than a blind belief in a brighter tomorrow, that brings us closer to healing.
