#43: Kids Are For Other People
Choosing not to have children is a deeply personal decision that often comes after much reflection. It’s a choice that should be respected without question. Parenthood is a lifelong commitment not suited for everyone, and realizing this is not only responsible but also courageous.
Honoring one’s own life path, even if it diverges from societal expectations or norms, is essential. The assumption that everyone will eventually want children disregards individual desires and circumstances. Whether for personal, financial, or ecological reasons or simply a matter of preference, opting out of parenthood is a valid and legitimate choice.
