#35: That’s Sick
If you live in a country that has managed to effectively eradicate diseases like polio, count yourself lucky. Clearly, history has shown us that we have the means to get rid of these diseases, usually through vaccination, for good.

But some other countries aren’t so lucky; they may not have the money or the infrastructure necessary to carry out a large-scale disease eradication effort. And even in places that do have the vaccine, some people who’ve gotten their degrees in Science Misinformation from the University of Facebook refuse to get them. How sad that we are so close to eradicating some of these diseases, and yet, so far.
