#12: Degrees of Difficulty
It’s been interesting to see how ideas about college have changed over the last few generations. When my grandparents were young, college degrees were rare and women with college degrees were even more rare. When I was college-age, absolutely everyone went to college if they wanted to get a decent job.
These days, in some ways, there has been a movement towards people being hired on their skills, whether or not they have a degree. But there are still a lot of employers who will not even look at a resume unless the person is a college graduate. What do you think: is a college degree necessary to be a good employee?
