#10: The Original Snow White
Adriana Caselotti, the actress who voiced Snow White in the 1937 classic, had a voice so iconic that even Walt Disney himself was protective of it. When she was offered a spot-on Jack Benny’s radio show after the film’s release, Disney reportedly blocked her from taking the job, saying that “that voice can’t be used anywhere.”
Hey, when you’ve got a voice as special as Snow White’s, you’ve got to make sure it’s used to its full potential. Of course, Adriana had plenty of other talents beyond her work as a voice actress, including her impressive opera singing skills. So the next time you hear that sweet, melodious voice singing “Someday My Prince Will Come,” just remember – it’s a voice that was truly one of a kind.
