#3: Like an Old Married Couple
Ah, Old Hollywood – the era of glitz, glamour, and some seriously strict rules. One of those rules? Actors playing couples weren’t allowed to share a bed onscreen, even if their characters were married. That’s right; if you wanted to see some snuggling, you had to tune in to the Hallmark Channel. But wait, it gets even better – the rule also applied to actor couples who were married in real life.
So, if you were hoping to see Bogart and Bacall snuggled up in bed, you were out of luck. Of course, Hollywood being Hollywood, they found ways to get around the rule, like using twin beds or clever camera angles. But hey, when you’re in the business of making dreams come true, a little creativity goes a long way.
