This next sign is just confusing. The lower part is a quirky little manifesto about this store owner’s laissez-faire approach to store opening times. Personally, I would find this approach infuriating and never patronize this store, because I would hate to show up when the store ought to have been open and find out that I had wasted a trip.

But then the top of the sign does actually have opening and closing times. Should we take the opening and closing times seriously and dismiss the text underneath as funny jokes? Or should we take the text underneath as the truth and take the listed times as general guidelines? As I said, I probably just wouldn’t shop at this store and avoid the problem.
