#7: Hand Measure
Humans have been using their hands to measure things since the beginning of time, even creating a whole system where the primary measure is not inches or centimeters but hands. Yet I believe a minority of humans have ever held up their hand to a moth that is bigger than it.
This cecropia moth is the largest in North America and can develop a wingspan of up to seven inches. What’s more, they seem to be quite pretty, which we know is rather unusual for moths. This could be the moth that normalizes moths as pets. Though I’m not sure what they’re useful for.
